Q: So why should I hire a trainer anyway?
A:    Perhaps the best way to answer this question is to ask another question. If your car were to break down, would you try to fix it yourself or would you take it to a professional mechanic? Or let's say for example your child were to become ill. Would you try to treat them yourself, or would you take them to a doctor?
        A Certified Personal Trainer is just as essential in achieving your health and fitness goals as having a skilled mechanic to repair your vehicle or a good doctor to heal your child. Your Certified Personal Trainer will be able to assess your current physical condition, devise a strategy for attaining your goals, and guide you along your journey while providing you with the knowledge, motivation and accountability that only a Certified Personal Trainer can deliver!
Q: Why do I need to do all this resistance and cardio stuff, can't I just take a pill or something?
A:   Supplements can be very beneficial. Multi-vitamins, anti-oxidants, and calcium are an absolute must for virtually everyone! Fat-loss supplements can help many people achieve their goals faster as well...but for some people these supplements could present multiple risks up to and including death.
       Your Certified Personal Trainer will be able to help you make informed decisions regarding what, if any supplements you should take. Your Certified Personal Trainer will also guide you through the most effective exercise techniques to ensure that you receive maximum results from your efforts!
Q: So what's the difference between committing to this, as opposed to training at one of those big gyms down the street?
A:   It's kind of like the difference between going to see your favorite band perform in concert, verses that band showing up at your doorstep to perform for you in your living room! OK, we admit that's a pretty dramatic example, but seriously, it's a pretty dramatic difference!
     First of all at Kennedy Fitness we won't charge any of those enrollment, processing, or monthly membership fees that you'll probably be charged for at a public gym. Second, you'll never have to fight traffic driving to the gym or drive in circles looking for a parking space once you get there, because we come to you! Additionally, you'll never have to wait for a machine that someone else is using or ever wonder who's starring at you from across the gym, because it's just you and your Certified Personal Trainer in the privacy of your own home!
Q: I know this is something I need to do, but it just seems like a lot of money. Why can't it be cheaper?
A:   At Kennedy Fitness we recognize that the cost of working with a Certified Personal Trainer can sometimes seem overwhelming. We would ask you though to remember the mechanic fixing your car, and the doctor healing your child...you wouldn't expect them to perform these tasks for free and neither would we.
     Ultimately, we strive to keep our fees reasonable and competitive while offering discounts to clients who purchase multiple prepaid appointments. Further, we recommend that you create a "fitness budget" within your monthly or annual household budget so that the finances are already available every time you decide to purchase additional appointments.
     Lastly, we would like to remind you to consider the cost of not hiring a Certified Personal Trainer to assist you. When you look at the potential cost of cardiac or bariatric surgery, rehabilitation, and/or medication, our training fees may seem down right miniscule! And after all, what is more important than your health?
Q: Alright, you've made your point. So what kind of equipment am I going to need to get started?
A:   Kennedy Fitness will provide an assortment of portable exercise equipment during each appointment such as resistance bands, medicine balls, jump ropes, and SportBlock adjustable dumbbells. We do though strongly recommend that you purchase and utilize your own heart rate monitor, stability ball, and cardio-respiratory and/or resistance training equipment.
     By purchasing these items you will be providing yourself two distinct advantages. First you will be ensuring that you are able to get the most out of each scheduled appointment. Second you will benefit from having access to your own fitness equipment "24/7" rather than only during our appointments.
     If you are unsure of what specific brand or type of equipment may be most beneficial to you, your Certified Personal Trainer will be glad to provide you with information and recommendations regarding your questions.
